All works well with the 2.2 upgrade. iPhone just needed to be rebooted.

I upgraded my iPhone to the new version 2.2 and now my Alpine IVA-W205 doesn't recognize it.



This link shows how to revert back to 2.1, but it's not a simple process and will probably loose all your stuff including the contacts (unless I figure out how to back them up).

But before I do anything, I will contact Alpine about this issue.

 

Odd, I upgraded mine as well so I went out and tested it with my Alpine head unit, IVA-W200, and it still works fine. What version of iPhone do you have? Mine is the 3G.

 

I have the original 1st gen.

I'll have to go out and try it later this afternoon. Maybe it was just too cold this morning.

 

I have had a few times where the head unit would not recognize the phone or toss an error code. I had to disconnect the phone and plug it back in. One time all it did was give error codes. I just connected the phone back to my computer, ran iTunes and cleared the phone/resync'd it and then it worked fine.

 

Hopefully I have the same issue. Will report back with my findings.
