I just found this at bestbuy.com.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...7&type=category
It's cheaper than the Shaker 500 (and maybe less problems from what I've read about the Shakers) and iPod compatible. It's $100 for the inerface and the cheapest compatible deck looks to be a bout $200. Does anyone have one? If so how well does it fit. I don't want to have to cut into my dash.

The Alpine is listed below the Pioneer.

No real big issues with the Shaker. Just some skipping issues and other mediocure problems. Just make sure you get the "B" series and you'll be fine. Plus the door subs are great. But it's all about making you go

I have an Alpine9833 with the adaptor and it works great. Ive never had an ounce of problems with it. It has a higher preamp output than the Shakers, you get more variable options (color, tuning, crossovers) and most importantly for me you get atleast 5 bands of EQ.

I am planning on installing the exact same setup into my 05 soon as it gets here in April. The IVA D300 W/ iPod interface is a sweet little package. I was debating whether me and a friend should install it or have the pros do it. My friend is a big mustang enthusiast and he is very good with electronics but i am a little weary about him hooking it up? what did you do? where did you get your wiring harness, install kit? Any chance you can post some pics? I am very interested to see how it looks in the stang.

Pics would be great. Was there any dash cutting involved? The Best Buy Fit Guide said it doesn't fit the 05 Stang but it also says they have no units that fit it so I think maybe it's the Fit Guide.
