As you all know ford will not make the interior upgrade for a while for the V6 ,but i was wondering WHY IS THAT!!? and when will it be fixed? thanks.

I am with you. I have questions that I want ansswered too. But this is a never ending discussion here on this board. And no one knows the truth. I don't think Ford even knows the truth anymore. So whatever you hear take with a grain of salt.

I can tell you though that my car is on an indefinet hold because of the IUO & my order is in Ford's expodite order system. So, good luck to you.

 

thanks, to you too ive seen some V6's with IUP but they were spoken for naturally.......... so the search continues can you still order one with the IUP or is that still a NO? thanks

 

I ordered my v6 oct. 27 and was told that although the IUP was on hold i could still order it but that ordering it with the IUP would "take a few extra weeks" which i knew the dealer really didn't know for sure but hey any information is information.

 

sounds good, im still trying to decide order one or buy one off the lot but i really want that IUP so i think my best chances would be to order one dont you think?

 

as i have been told on here..."anything worth wanting is worth waiting for"..and... "Patience is a virture"...but it sure is hard when i keep reading about all of you getting your new stangs!

 

Is ordering a new stang more to pay then buying one off the lot?

 

don't hold your breath for the IUP on a V6. They are not producing the V6s with it right now and we don't know when/if they will start producing them again

 

you negotiate the price the same way. just get everything in writing

I waited to order my GT. And therefore, it was not held during the quality checks like some still are.

 

I emailed ford yesterday and they emailed me back today. They said that the V-6 and GT's have the option for IUP and you can get it on any car you order BUT the guy who emailed me said he did not know the availability of it. So who knows. He may not even know what he is talking about, does anyone anymore?

 

I reckon the problem will be fixed when Ford and their 3rd party manufactures finally get caught up with the IUP orders once they correct the parts shortage

 

Last I heard, Delphi, who makes the LED system for the My Color, wasn't prepared (and neither was Ford) for the populartity of the IUP. So, Ford has given priority to Mustang GT's with IUPs over V6's with IUPs. I imagine this means that if you ordered a V6 on X-date, all GTs with IUPs ordered on or before your date will be built first. THEN, if supplies allow for it, your V6 will be built.

Maybe during the two weeks that AAI is shut down over the holiday, can Delphi catch up?

I would just hope that if they were not going to allow the V6s to have IUP they would just tell us so that the people that ordered it w/ IUP could take it off and get their cars already!! i don't think its right for them to keep us guessing about something like this!! :bang: I WANT MY CAR
