Can you elaborate on that? I missed out on this mod, or at least getting the silver tinsel from him. He's not selling to "us" any more, meaning Mustang owners?

Yeah, I think it was Pitpup who pointed out that Mike was getting P.O'ed that all he was selling was welts to us, as he is more of a full custom interior kind of seller. Personally, if this is true (and I believe it is), I'd tell him to pound sand!! At $60 for a roll, he was making a good profit on us Mustang owners. Plus we opened his business up to a whole new group of owners. But nope, he doesn't want to sell to Mustang owners anymore.

Again, this is what I understood. That is why Pitpup now sells the welts. Maybe Stan can come on and elaborate some more.

Thanks, and I did some leg work and hit him up and have some of the silver/tinsel coming, courtesy of pitpup

Any word on if this is true or not? It's suck if he stopped selling a prodcut just because that is all was bought by a certain car owner.

I used the Medium Blue and it looks good. I am also going to try the Dark Met Blue, just to see what it looks like, it is much darker and it might just blend in with the black door panels. But who knows it may look good too, so for the price I will try it. I also did the visors too. A very easy mod.

The welting from yourautotrim.com should be trimmed a little bit so it fit flush against the door, only takes a few minutes to trim it and it is ready to go.

I bought my Welt from Mr. Mike. I could not complain about the service. I told him it was for my mustang and he was very friendly and said he's been selling a ton of this stuff to us Mustang owners. I sent him pictures and he was very grateful and appreciative.

Overall I would say he treats his customers very well and I had a very good experience dealing with him.

When did you place your order with Mr.Mikes? Did you do it early on or later after the buzz was really going strong on this mod? I heard the story was rather recently when he stopped selling to us. Again, this was a story I heard.

I thought MrMikes just didn't want to do the welt anymore at all... even with their lame PT Losers .. I never heard it was a mustang thing.. he was just annoyed selling little bits here and there and sending out samples to everybody and their mother ... I got my welt through Stan (pitpup) as well and the GO paint and it looks great!

www.grabberorange.net - what a bunch of fruits!

I bought from Mr. Mike in Feb of this year. I did not know at the time that pitpup was selling this stuff. I found him through another source. He was very friendly and appreciated the pictures I sent him.

Mr Mikes has got a new website dedicated to the sale of this stuff. I'm pretty sure he's got nothing wrong with us mustang guys...

Hi Steve,
Last week I acquired the domain http://www.TrimBright.com for welt only orders.
You can see colors / prices / and order from there.
15 feet of White W2 is $19, includes 2-3 day Priority shipping.

I will link the TrimBright page to the PT Cruiser page, sorry for the inconvenience.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Thank you for your interest in my products,
MrMike

I got Electric Blue from MrMikes website, and although it's lighter than VistaBlue, I think it looks good so far. I've only got it on the doors, and will play around with it some more this weekend, but so far I like it. I don't have my camera today, but will takes pics and post by Monday.

Great idea, and it improves the look of the door panel. I've done this mod to our car in the UK. I all so covered the speaker grill with some headlineing fabric and recoverd the arm rest in leather.

Hey guys, just picked up 50 yards today of titanium welt, but I have a question for you guys.......... when I go to install this between the speaker and the insert what are you guys using/doing to get this to lay down into the groove? I guess there is a trick to this, the rest of the panel looks awesome for no more than what I spent. Please let me know, do I need to trim this area or use a squeegee in there?

I just did this today -- Mike Rey had some extra that he was kind enough to give me at the MRT Open House yesterday, quick install job this afternoon -- thanks Mike:
