Here are two pics of a clock out of a 2005 Freestar installed in the dash of my Mustang. Not wired yet so it is always noon!! (Or midnight ) Am currently making a harness for it and will post night shots then.

I like it. It's something different and creative. Here is a nanner for when it is completed.

looks nice did you have to cut into the dash to install?

This would probably work for any gauge wouldn't it? I would love to put an autometer gauge in there rather than cluttering up my visibility.

Thanks for the comment!!
Needed to remove cluster trim, pass airbag module, console top and side wings to remove center dash vent assy. Had to lose the lower retaining spring clip for clearance purposes. I used a Dremel moto-tool to remove ribs from back of panel, drilled 1-3/4 inch hole and reamed it out to fit bezel, drilled out two holes for clock adjust buttons and cut dash underlayment to allow clock to fit through dash, ran and connected wiring and reassembled. Estimated total time was about 2-1/2 hours.

There is plenty of room back there to mount one gauge. Wiring access is very good.

Looks good but I am not sure if I am ready to tackle the tear down to put a clock in. But it does look so much better than sticking on with tape.

Here is a pic of the clock with illumination, has a nice green glow, this pic was taken during daylight hours-will post an additional pic in the dark.

Great work Matt! It does look better than my stick on clock. I have the IUP so there would be the extra step of dealing with that plus I don't know that I would be willing to cut that up. Wonder what that piece would cost?

Would you consider making a very detailed description of what you did available to us? Drew

I will type it up and post hopefully tonight...
Also.. Current retail for center trim is $66.85-Kevin could probably do better!!
