Installing your own MP3 Deck
I bought a Panasonic MP3 Deck deal on boxing day, wanting to replace this standard cd player that will come on my mustang v6 that will be arriving soon.
I was wondering how hard is it to install it myself.
An important thing is that it seems the CD dash and radio is customed, with a cover panel and have special buttons

How would that work with installing a new deck?
And I am a newbie at it, what kind of parts or equip would I need when I do install it.
Thanks in advance

Getting to the radio and getting it out is easy enough, just a few screws really... You need to get the insert listed elsewhere on the board to fill out the space left empty by the factory radio (larger then a standard radio).
You will also need a harness to interface with the factory speakers if you want to use those. That I don't know if they make yet... but I am sure someone knows.
So long story short: You need the insert and the harness, taking the old one out is pretty easy.

Speaker wiring adapters and dash adapter kit can be had from Metra. I have seen the Scosche kit and it is nice, but in my estimation the Metra kit is a much smoother fit, definitely closer in texture and surface finish to the center stack trim.
