Installing Aftermarket Radio - Shaker 500 System Help

I have bought a Radio Universal 2 Din Kit specifically designed for the Shaker 500 System and it came with 2 connectors but the shaker 500 System has 3, in the pdf below -

Do I need the j3 Connector? Or can I live without it without suffering, my steering wheel controls don’t work so if that mainly controls the Canbus system then I don’t mind, I am suppose to be expecting a aftermarket Radio tomorrow and I guess if it does something I want or need then I can cut the j3 connector off and temporarily crimp the connection between the wires from the j3 to the radio and solder later but what would I be missing with or without it
