I am wanting to change my interior.

I have a Sonic Blue Mustang Convertible, it has the Camel ( Tan ) Top and Interior. I just bought a black top for it now i am wanting to replace the camel interior for grey (or gray depending on where you are from) and Black. Does anyone know where I can order the Panels from? Is a Junk Yard my best bet?

I am open to any and all suggestions.

Thank You.

You can get carpet here:

Idk about panels though...I would try to find someone wanting to trade, or a junkyard.

i dont think nto will have anything. ive wanted to change my tan to black for years, but it would cost mega bucks to get all the parts and very hard to even find them. best bet would be to find a complete interior in a wrecked car.

I have changed the interior of my car from grey to black.

Took a few years. Most of the parts I got were from ebay, some I got from Clevenger Ford (Porterville, CA) from KC. There is a guy there that took over from KC, (JP, I think) They got me a great deal on my carpet and some panels. Careful with aftermarket carpet. I bought aftermarket carpet, and the fit was awful, and nothing was precut.

The dash will be the biggest headache. Pretty much any used dash will have scuffs that you will have to repair. And you DON'T want to buy this new.

Be sure to sell your parts on ebay to recoup some of your cost for doing this.

The smaller stuff you won't have much of a choice but to buy new, though, like the seat levers and such.

I will also point out that panels for convertibles don't come up very often. Nor will the seat covers. Most common colour will be black, as I don't see grey very often.

I have some grey panels left, but sold most of my grey interior. If you can get a complete interior, go with that.

MG... do you need convertible BLACK seat covers?

I pulled mine a couple of months ago for a Roush set

05 GT Vert, with upper seat foam... fronts and rears, in VG condition, about 15k miles on them.

If you want the details on what is involved in changing out your interior, PM me. I think I may be the only person on the boards that was crazy enough to do it.

How much of the interior is camel? Just the seats? Regardless, you can usually find full, replacement seat covers on eBay or one of the take-off sites for less than $300. I spent $200 on a full set from a take-off site (now defunct, but there are others) and $300 on eBay for a full set with carbon fiber inserts. The front seats are a bit of a pain, but the rears took all of a half hour to completely switch out. Dunno about door inserts, dash, etc., if needed.
