I have to take out the backseats to fit some stuff in my trunk, how do they come out? I looked but don't feel like breaking anything on the car just yet, any ideas?

You have to pull the entire seats to accomplish more room? They simply fold down ya know.

Yeah, with the "mound" behind the seats I don't think removing them will create much more room, if any.

Okay, wow. Doesnt anybody ask questions before taking delivery of their cars anymore or even bother reading through the features in the owner's manual?

There is 1 pull strap located between each rear seat and the rear plastic trim, if you pull on it the seat will fall forward.

Hopefully your straps are visible, I had the problem once that someone pushed mine into the seat fabric. I had to fish them back out with a coat hanger.

I did read the manual. obviously not good enough.

i even sat back there last week wondering if there was a pass through. but i didnt see anything so i will look again for those straps.

it was bugging me because if i accidentally lock my keys in the trunk there wasnt anyway to get them.

So, how do you pop the back seats.

I have to fit a 65hp outboard engine in the back of the car, the extra inches I gain by pulling out the seats of space where the actual seats would be would make it just enough to fit the lower unit of the engine in and give me the correct angle to slide the engine in my trunk, and I also don't want to wreck my seats from the weight of the engine and any oil that can spill out.

Any answers?

A good used Ford Ranger should solve all your problems. Why would you want to put that kind of stuff in a mustang?

Their are some tabs in the middle of the bottom of each seat that you have to push in I will try to get some pics tomorrow. They are really easy to get out though.
