Looks like some old info. has been deleted off this site so could someone please tell me how to tell what version of Shaker 500 I have A or B and how do you get the radio to tell you the song title for the stations that use this feature?

With radio on Press 3+6 at the same time for self test

RDS- press menu Button for several seconds until the RDS on/off button shows- With RDS on you should get radio station/song title display.

well i tried it and got nothing.. maybe i have the newest head unit .... and that feature does not work.......

 

remember also that not all cds have text to display.

 

Of all the radio stations here, only a couple broadcast the info along with the signal. None of my pre-recorded, store bought CD's have displayed any info at all.

 

I think that it depends on the artist and if they want that added into the cd info the way I heres it is like everyone is going that way cause people like it just the same as in dvd info and out takes etc when I burn my cd's through Music Match I do it as mp3 pro and they work GREAT with all info Ed
