I twist it counter-clockwise, but it doesn't seem to want to come off, and the shift boot is turning with it

The shaft is prolly turning with the ****. Try holding onto the shaft while you turn the **** counter clockwise. Keep working with it, it will come off.

Speaking of shifter ***** - I would like to find a billet **** as close to the original as possible. I like the look matching the dash so don't want to go leather. The stock **** looks kind of cheap - just painted finish....

TIA

Just pop the square leather boot base off at the console (pops right off). Then turn the **** counter clockwise and allow the leather boot to turn with it.

Nice - too bad it has the Steeda logo/name on it. I'd like something like that with the shift pattern on top. What did that set you back? And are those billet A/C and temp control ***** I see in the background?

thx

Anyone tried Steeda's Pistol Grip shifter? Would it fit on the '05?

I was looking at cal-mustang.com and came across the 05 Saleen shifter. There isn't much of a description. Does anyone know if this is just the **** and if so will it fit on the factory shaft? Also, there's only one picture of it and I want to make sure it doesn't say Saleen anywhere on it like the Steeda one has it's name all over it. If anybody knows more about this shift **** please give me all the details you've got. Thanks!

I don't want the dealers name on the back and I sure as heck don't want any name but my own on the inside. Wonder if they have their name engraved on the springs also.

It fits the stock shifter stick (correct thread), and it does not say Saleen on it the finish matches the satin silver pieces that come with the IUP. It even holds the boot in place just like the stock ****.

It is a nice piece, and lets you rest your arm on the arm without hitting the front hard edge of the arm rest cover.

Make sure you ask for the shift ****, they have it listed as short shifter, which could be confused with short throw shifter.

I'm pretty sure the Saleen **** has the Saleen "S" logo on top.
