How do you remove the dash?

I've done a search but coudln't find anything. Is there anyone who has removed the dash - or at least the top black cover pad? I have looked long and hard at the 'leather' dash and am convinced that I can make one myself. I just need to remove the majority of the dash. Anyone have a link to a thread explaining how the removal is done?

Cheers

Yeah.. thats the picture the dealer showed me when I asked about upgrading to the stock leather dash. They said it's all one piece and costs a few grand.

Yeah, I just got the same printout. I don't think I want to go through that much trouble. I do think I can make this work without removing the dash, though - and make it look good. When I have same time, I'll come up with a pattern.

Cheers

Nice find on the pdf for dash removal! I don't think I will remove my customers dash however. Just too much involved and he needs to be able to drive his car. I was hoping just the top pad would seperate from the main dash, but from what everyone says it is all one piece. We are doing a real carbon fiber interior for a 06 Mustang.

I did end up doing it, as I replaced my grey dash with a black one. Not that many bolts to take out, but it was a pain. I had a convertible, which made pulling it out and back in much easier. In a coupe, I imagine it would be cramped trying to get it out and back in.

Its not hard, just need to be really careful not to scratch up anything.
