I've seen it before on this site but after a half an hour of searching I just can't find it. I've done it to my wife's V6 right after we got it but I don't remember how and I got my car today and its telling me my CD is bad. Before I get rid of it I want to make sure I don't have the "A" version of shaker. The CD work's fine in my PC just not in either one of our Mustangs. :scratch:

put the radio on FM mode. press 3 and 6 at the same time to enter diagnostic mode. when it displays a whole slew of characters across screen. look at thelast one and see if its an A or a B.

 

also if it ends in "g" it will need to be upated
