home made Aux
home made Aux
i was wondering of anyone has found a diy method to use the aux audio. to me 80 bucks to get my aux audio working seems like a bit much. i was hoping someone knew of a way to jsut splice my own rca adaptor to the head unit... accounding to the wring diargram it looks like only 4 pins are used
aux audio 1+
aux audio 1-
aux audio 1 shield
aux audio enable
it seams like if i can find how much power/what goes to shield and enable then all i need to do isrun that amount of powere there... after that i could rca plugs into the 1+ and 1- just what i think...
i wish i had a way to test this because the FM modulator on my xm is kinda weak. if anyone has a way to test this or has already done this please post!

I'm waiting to hear too, though I have Sirius instead of XM. That non-functional AUX thing is very irritating.
I picked up one of the "SIGMA" antennas that someone else posted about a while back at a Nissan dealer and found that the plug isn't quite right... And THAT was $80 <sigh>

I'm lucky I held off sticking it on, as I had my windshield cracked by a stone and replaced about two weeks ago...
I am planning to put one of the Sirius brackets on the face of the overhead lights to hold the Replay. For now, I take it in and out of the car into work every day and so it is stil perched on the passenger visor.
