help with speakers
I just bought a brand new headunit replacing my shaker 500 system. its the kenwood excelon KDC-X791 an i have 2 10" kenwood subs an a 800watt orion amp. my question is this i want to buy these speakers along with these tweeters aswell. now this will be for the front an back of my car. So should i buy another amp to power these speakers an tweeters or no. Im a new at the whole audio stuff so idk what to do. an should i also get tweeters just for the front speakers or for the back ones also?

Why are you buying tweeters without mids to go with them? If you just mean upper range speakers, then, yes, by all means get an amp for them. get the absolute best you can afford for the front, and forget the rear speakers ever even existed (for the most natural sound). If you insist on rear speakers, just power them very low off the head unit. In fact, I'd suggest putting the ones from your doors in place of the rears since they're in their own little enclosures. This will protect the drivers from your subs' output and eliminate distortion.

if you have the money, get a nice compnent set for the front. If you have the shaker 500, you can remove the 8in door speaker and make a panel for a 61/2 and tweet. This is much better sound and staging than the stock door locations and its sealed, so bass response from the 6 1/2 shoudl be better.
yes, always use an ampo to power your fronts, it is a night and day difference. something like a 75X4 or 100X2 would be a good starting point. Remember , you get what you pay for with most audio equipment, so dont buy cheap jensen amps and think it will sound good.

At this point is when you need to decide how much you wish to spend. With amps, we can go from moderately priced, to absolutely insane (without much gain except for the "prestige"). For the door subs, if you want a direct replacement, there are only a few. I would suggest getting a strong 4 channel amp to run your front speakers and door subs.
Do you want a physically small amp that you can hide, or one that looks "blingy" for showing off?
