Help! Sony Xplod amp.

Unhappy Help! Sony Xplod amp.

I have a shaker 500 and added a 1000 watt amp with 2 12 inch subs. Power cable is 0 guage and i have proper ground, but i wired my rca inputs to the outputs of the rear 6x8's. At high volume the amp will kick off. Please help.

in newer cars the rears will cut the bass signal to the rear speakers. You need to get the signal from the front line.

im not sure thats the problem, it kicks my amp into protect mode.

How about the subs, are they new too? Try connecting one at a time, and seeing if it still goes into protect mode

all equpt is new, and the amp even protects with one or no speakers connected.

Sounds like a defective amp, only time I've heard of this happening is when my friend blew his amp, it would stop working after a couple minutes.

Could be the amp, but sounds like something with the wiring. Possibly where you went from the speaker to rca? could be a crossed wire in there somewhere. The amp is obviosly getting a signal it doesnt like. How did you ground it?

Ive had this issue a couple times after installing and it has always been a ground or bad/crossed wire somewhere
