1) Depower the SRS.
2) Remove the clip and the recline handle
3) Remove the screw at the rear of the cushion side shield. Pull out the side of the cushion side shield, release the retaining clips and pin-type retainer and separate the side shield.
4) Disconnect the lumbar control switch.
5) Release the retainers and remove the lumbar control switch from the cushion side shield.
6) Caution: Inspect the cushion side shield retaining clips for damage. Install new retainers if damage is present. To install, reverse the removal process.
7) Repower the SRS.

I don't know what that all means. Hopefully it makes sense to you.

Yes, it helps thank you. I was hoping for an easy answer. But I have the right location now in the Shop Manual. Looks like the trick will be making sure I do not damage the cushion side shield retaining clips.

Thanks again.

Or courtesy Jeremy Martorella at UPR "The button unsnaps, use a flat head screw driver and pry it away." So I disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and carefully pried up the OEM button with a flat blade screw driver then snapped the UPR button on. Job done.

yeah... i guess you could do it that way too. lol. it seems like the instructions i gave you was to remove the whole module.

i had bought a button cover which i got from moss. it was just double-sided tape that just covered the stock button.
