I installed heat pads just before winter hit, cause yeah NY winter sucks! It was actually pretty easy, unfortunately i didnt take any pics. Youre best bet would be to go for the pads that come pre-wired with quick-disconnects (do a search here, youll find the site that sells em). Youll need to do some drilling to mount the included switches. I wired mine directly to the battery, because i couldnt find a clear answer on what to tap into. Apparently the pads have a draw of 14v, so you run the risk of frying some wires if you just tap into anything. Anyway, because of how i wired them up Ive gotta make sure both seats are off every time i get outta the car; not much of a big deal even with the switches mounted to the seat trim. I ran all my wires and fuses under the center console, and put another fuse close to the battery.

I did some research on this.
I think the 2007 and newer cars may have the wires in the harness for the heated seats.
The 2005+2006 do not.
