Great Detailing Tool
The weather is still pretty disgusting here in the Pacific Northwest, so what can you do? Well, other than putting 200 lbs of discarded Christmas wrapping paper into the garbage, I had to detail the GT.
I like the texture of the interior surfaces in the '05-'07's. When I used a surface dressing (like Armorall) on the interior of my '96 it looked like it was rubbed down with Mazola oil. The pebbly finish on these new Mustangs is much better. And now I use Meguiar's low shine dressing.
But, my discovery was to use a sponge brush, the kind you use for painting your house trim if you want a really smooth finish. I had an new one on the shelf that I tried. Works great for getting into awkward places. Allows you to put on just the right amount. And you don't have to worry about overspray. Just spray the tip of the sponge and wipe the dressing anywhere you want.
By the way....Merry Christmas to everybody on this great forum.

last time my dad wanted me to go to a hand car wash his friends owned and i vowed never to take my car to a hand carwash again, first i asked if they could wax the car, then they said they had a soap that had wax and they did not even use it on the car, next they put something that looked like armorall and it was all oily and smelled up the car, i drove for the first time ever since i bought the car with the windows down and i had to rub down the whole interior with terry towels till the smell and oil went away

We're slowly turning into Seattle, or Vancouver, here in the desert of Eastern Washington. It hasn't stopped raining for two weeks. I think it has something to do with the Starbuck's coffee shop that opened up a couple of years back. But, it's great detailing weather. I've gone over every inch accessible from the top side of the car. Tomorrow, the suspension!

Like SteelTownStang says, it contains silicone. Not supposed to be good for rubber or plastic exposed to sunlight. Also, I think it is not sensor friendly for use under the hood.

Armorall (or any silicone based product) prevents the material from breathing and results in cracks over time. I learned this the hard way. I used to be a big fan of Armorall and put it on everything from my dash to my brieface and camera bag. After a year or so everything cracked and had to be thrown away.
Armorall is great for anything that is rubber. (tires for example)
Now Armorall does have new products that supposedly are designed for use on leather and auto interiors. Only time will tell if it will cause cracking.
