Fusion headrest to a Mustang

I'm looking at getting the DVD headrests from an 06 - 08 Fusion at a good price.

Anyone here know if it is a straight fit? How far apart are the poles on the Fusion 06 - 08 headrests? How long are hte poles? Where are the teeth located?

Thanks in advance.

Any word, anybody? Even just measuring the distance between posts will help me.

I need to make a decision on these.

Thanks

The couple I checked had no 06 - 08. I don't know if the new body style uses new seats or not.

I don't have a Fusion, but I do have a 2008 MKZ. I'm assuming they take the same headrest, but I really don't know. In any case, here's the comparison between the two headrests...it won't work.

EDIT: I forgot you wanted dimensions. The poles are 0.5055" diameter, 6.1295" apart, 6.4620" from bottom of pole to top (locking flush to seat) notch, 1.5610" from top notch to second notch, 0.8205" from second notch to third (final) notch. All measurements taken using a digital micrometer.

Holy smokes ... thanks for the accurracy. I had hoped that they would fit. No one makes a kit for the Mustang that I know of, and the ones I was looking at were $500 for both including earphones.

I swapped Ford Edge rear headrests into my Stang. Its possible that the DVD headrests from an Edge would fit.

Thanks for the info.

What year is the edge you swapped? My wife has an 09, but the spacing of the bars didn't match up.

New question.

The posts in the 05 - 11 Mustang are 6 and 3/4 inches apart. Anyone have another Ford that has the posts that far apart?

Cheers

Thanks for checking this. And thanks for the pics.

I'm not sure what is up, though. My wife's 2009 Edge has the dvd headrests, but those headrests won't fit in my mystang. The posts are 6 inches apart compared to 6 3/4 inches in my car. The Fusion dvd headrest also won't fit as the post spacing is off.

And yet you all have provided proof that it should be a simple swap. For some reason the dvd headrests are not the same.

Strange
