Extra Harnesses?

Ok so while installing my new headunit today, I noticed 2 wire harnesses that dont seem to be doing anything.
One is just laying under my center console not connected to anything.
The other is in the middle of the left three button places directly opposite the hazard light button. You cant even press that thing in so I cant understand what purpose it serves.

well the one on the other side of the hazard is def. the harness for the MYColor which means you have the choice to get it still by going to the dealer and buying it and having them install it 
( which i plan to do to mine as well since a yellow mustang). W/O the harness i dont think its possible and i think the newer 'stangs dont come with it unless they got IUP.
