Nope, it looks great but no illumination but I guess it would not until you turn the key on when the instrumentation lights up.. Don't know how the others work as I would not need it lit up when the car is running.

I relocated the power port right next to the other one in the console so I would not lose it. It works great and they are side by side....

if you turn your key in position 2 and want to start the car, all accessory devices (like radio, front lights...) are turned off, to provide maximum power for the starter.

if you just bypass the dark green wire to start the car, the accessory devices are not turned off and the enormous power consumption of the starter is maybe "confusing" some sensors like the oil pressure sensor.

so if you want to start the car by a starter button you have to "emulate" the ignition switch.

its very simple. if you push the button you have to interrupt power to accessory devices and provide power to the starter.
this can be done with relays.

How to:
find connector 250 to the ignition switch on the left side under the steering wheel.
cut the black/pink and the green wire.
wire everything as shown in the circuit diagram.

ps: if you still want to start the car with the key, don't cut the green wire.
How many amps for the relay ?

Anyone knows how much current flows through the Ignition normally ?

you can use a regular bosch "single pole, double throw" SPDT relay with 30 - 40 amps

Hello everyone, needing help out here if possible I wired my S2000 button wrong i think.. I connected, green wire from the ignition to the first pin, and then for the second and third pin i conected to the 12v source of the lighter.. didnt work.. so reading all this thread, i guess first pin for the green wire, second pin for the white wire at ignition, and third for ground. It's this way?

Best regards

Oh, mine it's a 06 GT

Fabio - I'm babysitting a 5 year old, two 1 year olds, and a 3 month old baby right now... let me review this when I can think straight and we'll get you figured out.

It is time to make that Honda S2000 start button into a true keyless ignition:

http://www.digitalguarddawg.com/auto...-luxury-series

I am looking into this for my 05 that already has the start button, but I messed up with the struts in my 12, so it may wait until the new year.

I like that they sell the S2000 button with an LED in it to make it brighter. I had to remove the diffuser in mine to get that effect.

It adds keyless entry and trunk release (no pressing a button on the FOB for either) and security alarm as well as remote start.

The only thing I don't like is the FOB, but I can live with that. This will be my Christmas present to me.
