dvd decks

This is the MUSTANG SOURCE not the HOME AUDIO AND VIDEO SOURCE. If you want to ask questions about things NOT PERTAINING TO MUSTANGS you need to specify that. And most likely youd get better info from a site that speciallizes in such items.
By the way HAWG you never know what people might hook up in there cars. My car stereo and dvd player will let me hook up a xbox if I want to.

Why would I need to buy a seperate deck when My in dash Head Unit with flip out screen, plays DVDs. The only thing that would be nice is a cd/dvd changer for the trunk so i can keep my most used dvds and cds in instead of changing out everytime I need to use the GPS.

I know what u mean...i got my ipod hooked up to the screen so i can keep it int he glove compartment and control all my music with the screen. The only thing i haven't tried are movies. My ipod can play movies but i doubt the ipod adapter can transfer them!

Climb down off your "look at me look at me" stool scooter. I doubt you are that much of an audiophile to be worrying about one year old models. Otherwise you wouldn't be buying JVC.

whats wrong with JVC? their new decks have great resolution and they look slim and clean. I'm not a fan of the pop in and out decks, the only ones that do it right are kenwood but some of the rest look out of place and bulky! I wanted a 2-din deck so for the price and resolution JVC is the way to go!

I've heard some horror stories about JVC decks. However, I don't know much about the particular one you listed. Judging by their history, I would recommend you stay away from it. If you don't like the Kenwoods then maybe look into the ones made by Eclipse.
Eclipse AVN5435, 5500, 6600 etc.
They are little bit more expensive than JVC, but you will get your money's worth.

I have some experience with the deck mentioned. It is a VERY nice unit. High quality all around. Hawg, you surprised me. Farsyte baited you, and you bit.
Also, the nicest dual-DIN unit I've used yet is the Panasonic 6503. Niiiice. The Alpine was very cheap feeling, and the picture quality was very low. It was also lacking most features that made Alpine my head of choice since my competetive days in the early 90's.
