DIY heal protectors and dead pedal

I bought some diamond plate and cut it to fit my floor mats as heal protectors. I had some left over and cut a piece for the dead pedal. I have to recut the dead pedal as its a 1/2" or so to wide and over hangs off the block under the carpet. I am looking for a way to have the heal protectors and dead pedal match the other pedals. It works for now though...

Yeah I have to vacuum the car. I used stainless bolts with fender washers under the floor mat to bolt them to the mats so they wouldn't move.

Well it isn't something I'd do but it is better looking than expected, did you screw that plate into the mat?

What I did was poke a hole through the mat with an awl and then just "screw/twist" the bolt through the mat. I put a small fender washer on the bolt and then tighted it down and then cut off the exess bolt threats flush with the lock nut.

The reason I did this was my 01 GT mats were worn down at the heal area. So when I saw the heal protector on the Ultimate Pedals site and also Taco Bills I thought I would try out making my own. I was going to use velcro first but couldnt find any that would stick to the mat.

I would like to make a plate that would match the mail 3 pedals though...
