Daytime Running Lights. A DIY thing? How?
Daytime Running Lights. A DIY thing? How?
Since I imported my GT/CS to Canada I am now required to pass a federal and provincial inspection. Which means replacing my cold air intake, removing the window tint from the doors and equipping it with daytime running lights.
So I've seen kits online, but cant it be done without a kit? Like a simple rewiring?
I would much rather do it myself and save from someone else doing it.
Any help?

your local Ford dealer can reconfigure your SJB (smart junction box) for this feature, it just needs to be program, there is no need to buy any additional parts, it's a simple as hooking it up to the ford computer and turning on the feature.

Follow the advise of partsbill and deric, visit your local Canadian Ford dealer. The DRL ability is built into your vehicle from the factory. The DRL feature is activated in Canada but not in the US.
The Canadian Ford dealer may activate the DRL for free as a goodwill gesture to get a new customer. Never know until you ask!
