Need some opinions on which one is the best bang for the buck: AVN6610, AVN5500, AVN5510, AVIC-D3, CN-NVD905U, or DNX7100...any other. I would really like to stay around the 800 buck range...

Hey Al, I HIGHLY recommend the AVIC-D3. You can easily get it for under $800 online and on Ebay. If you go over to the interior modifications section, there are several threads on this unit. I just got mine Wednesday and will install this weekend. Great piece for the money!!

I have the Pioneer AVIC D3 in my Mustang. I also have D2's in my '01 Sport Trac and '04 Escalade. I like the D2's better, but no real problems with the D3. Main difference is that the D2's are 2 disc systems, and the D3 is single disc, meaning you only have one slot for everything. Not a problem if you have satellite radio, but on occasion it goes out, and then you can't use navigation if you're using a CD or DVD.
