Ok, I know it's crazy, but I ordered some custom floor mats from GGBailey.com before I even had the car. They were kind of expensive, but I wanted mats that just said, "MUSTANG" and that's it!

I found some that had the Mustang Pony symbol on it, but none that that had what I wanted, so I deceided to order some. A full set of four mats with "MUSTANG" on the lower part was $120, kind of high Dollar, but you only have to buy it once!

I would like to say that I really like the quality of the mats that I recieved, and I'm not connected to GG Bailey in any way! Here's a link to order some of your own if you want, or maybe just order a free Swatch Kit to see what colors they have?

The mats look good, but did you bring a swatch to a Ford Dealer or somewhere you could put it up against an '05 Mustang's parchment interior to make sure it matches before you ordered?

No, I didn't, but that's a good idea. The mats turned out to be a little darker then I thought they would. They're supposed to be beige. Does it look beige to you guys?

Anyways, I still like them, and really I wanted them to be a little darker then the interior carpet, just not as dark as they are.....

That's true. Especially since they have the black border. It doesn't have to be the exact same color. I think they look good. Custom stuff is always more... but it's custom. You'll be the only one to have those exact mats.

Yeah, thanks!

I really didn't like the Ford ones, or the other ones with just the Pony symbol on them. I just wanted MUSTANG, after all, that says it all!

Great find Bart, I called them right after I read your first post. Very nice people, the reviews on the web site say nothing but excellent quality. The lady on the phone was great, was going to send out color samples right away 'cause they couldn't tell me what color was closest to the Ford parchment.

Think I'm gonna end up with cream carpet, black border and black heel pad. Either that or go wild on the persian carpet version

Anyways, thanks again for posting the info.

Your welcome! Glad to help!

Yeah, I think it's a good idea to get the sample kit first since my carpet was a little darker then I thought it would be. I thought my pony was going to be here sooner then it looks like it will, since Ford pushed back the build date by a couple of weeks.....

Yeah, you have a point! $120 is nothing compared to some of the mods that people have done here. Not bad money to spend for a custom look, even if it is only floor mats.....

I found some floor mats today fot the Stang at Advanced Auto parts. They have Ford Racing on them and the part number is 1398R01 The are real dark gray or black. Its hard to tell but the FORD RACING looks cool.

I bought mats from Mustang Tuning.com. They are real nice. I got black ones with a running white pony on the side. Here are a couple of picture of the driver's side mats.

I was going to get those. How do they fit? Are they the same size as stock or are they larger? Do you have a pic deeper in the footwell?

Thanks

They are about 1" shorter than the stock mats. I'll try to take a picture tommorow deeper in the footwell.

They are actually the same size. I eyeballed them yesterday in the dark. Today, I took the Ford ones and laid them on top of the ones I bought and they are the same size. I plan to use the Ford ones when winter returns all too soon. Here are pictures of the driver's and passenger's side. I hope they help.
