All the pics I saw of charcoal looked too grey so I went with black. It's a little darker than the stock dark charcoal, but doesn't look out of place with the other black trim on the center council.

Its a whole new piece, just remove the four nuts from the lower part of the hinge and replace, took more time to find the tools that to change out the lid

We have a V6 on the lot with the leather accent package and the center armrest cover is much softer. Looks nicer too.

Just put on the cover I got from KC. Nice piece. Easier on the elbows and looks very good. Like Dougxox says, easy install too. I recommend it.

+1 here - I installed my Ford leather console lid and it is a nice quality piece (I got mine from Kevin too). While you are at it the bright shifter bezel w/leather boot (from the PTP package) is a nice piece too....a little pricy but it looks really nice...those two quality pieces really dressed up that (rather cheap) looking plastic center console area

Oh, and don't forget the PTP pedal covers and accel pedal - nice touch as well....too bad I couldn't order the PTP with the GT/CS package - bet I ended up paying more than the package for the individual pieces I have so far....still would like to get the leather armrests from the PTP.....

I can't tell for sure if it is genuine leather or not. I can say that it looks and feels about as good (or bad) as the rest of the leather surfaces on my seats. I think the armrest looks good and I got the leather (or whatever it is) covered e-brake handle in too.
