Might want to read my posting... It's something ALL of you will want to clean out occasionally:

I added to that post. It amazes me how many people don't use the search engine and keep posting that the rubber piece can be removed so you can place taller cups in the cup holder. We have talked about this for a year now.

I think I learned that from you way back, John. I removed mine a long time ago too. No real need for it. The wife and I get fast food at least once a week and I always get it super sized so I get the big drink. So, mine sits in the extra-deep cup holder.

Yeah I took mine out and never replaced - its in the glove box.
I usually have napkins from 7-11 or something (food is NEVER actually eaten in the car though!) in the glove box as well just in case of emergency and if I have a cold drink like that, I drop one in the bottom, sit the drink on it and it takes care of the condensation.

P.S. How can you shift with a cup in the cup holder anyway?

I discovered the false bottom when playing with the first Mustang a local dealer got. To me, it was obvious it was there. I don't see how/why people miss it.
Interesting about the condensation, I wouldn't have thought about that.
