Couple of Q's for those who installed systems
#1
1) Did you find a good place to run the power cable from the battery through the firewall? I took a quick look the other day but didn't see anything obvious.
2) Any tips on how to get the door panels off? Is it fairly straight forward or are there some tricks I should know about.
Thanks!

1) Had to drill holes for my power cables. There is a pipe, think its for the AC that runs right under the battery. It bends right at the firewall, and right above that is where I mine was drilled. Out of the way and not to bad to get to once you remove the battery.
2) The panels aren't too bad, pretty standard. Just have to remove the inside mirror cover, the handle cover, the power window switch cover, then the handle itself. Then the panel comes off after that.

Well dont know if anyone is interested but I know one of the aftermarket companies is selling a rear battery installation kit for weight etc. But might help for those putting in aftermarket systems as well.

Running the power wire from the battery is a pretty simple an no drilling is requiried.
Remove the plastic cover inside the front right fender well and you will see a rubber boot where some of the factory wires are run through the firewall. Just use a sharp knife and make a slit big enough to run your wire through. From there you can run the wire inside the car, behind the front right kick panel, under the sill plate, and behind the quater panel to the trunk.
While you have the wheel well cover off, there is a Small channel that runs straight back into the engine compartmet, so you can run the wire through and up to connect it to the battery.
