I'm considering a Mustang purchase in the future ('06 or '07 GT) and I'm really a fan of the red leather seating surfaces, but not so much all the "dark charcoal"(black) plastic that goes with.

I'd really prefer something either of a saddle tan or a red to deep burgundy that lends itself more to the interior of a classic 'stang.

Now even choosing parchment for the interior, a certain amount of black plastic seems unavoidable.

I'm curious as to how capable one may be of dyeing the Parchment and black plastic interior to something more desirable? With say, plastic and/or vinyl dyes or something that would permanently bond.

You can go to a place that mixs automotive paint and have them mix the color of the dye you would want to change it to. also some uphoster shops can get the dye. But myself I would get it from a place like auto color. Where most body shpos buy their paint. dyes can be sprayed on with an airbrush or they can be applied with a fine brush. one like sign painters use. I've done this in the past on a trans am. good luck!
