changed shifter ball, how to holdup boot?
Is there a notch in the bottom of the new shift ball? There should be for you to put the rubber ring surrounded by the shift boot.
Kinda hard to explain...when you took out your stock shift ****, there is a lip around the bottom. There is also a rubber ring that is inside the top of the shift boot. If you are using the stock shift boot, the ring top should be glued into the already. Make sure that you put that ring into the "lip" of the shift ****.
But if the MRT shift **** does not have a lip...you should either call them or its time to get clever.

what I did is this, I dont know how its called in english but the thing that goes betwen a NUT and a SCREW, thats flat, round, donut like thing (rondana in spanish)...
thats the thing you need... just buy one of those, put it before the shift ball and then put the shift ball... work done!
Hope you did understand what I say, if you didnt PM me for more info... it works just great, and it cost like $0.20 usd...

Buy a 12Mx1.25 nut, put that on the stick (handle) as far down as it will go, then put the washer on top of that, screw the jam nut that came with the MRT shifter on top of the washer, then screw the **** down until it's as far as it can go, with the pattern facing the right way. Then loosen everything (which will snug it all up) until it's tight, then wrap the shift boot around the washer and you're good to go. See the link to my gallery in my sig, and I have a pic of how it should look. Just make sure the washer you buy is the same diameter as the lip on the bottom of the stock shifter.

We know what you mean Alex. It's called a washer in English. I've heard of some others doing that as well with the new *****.
