I am on the verge of buying these..... For those who have them, what do you think of them? Any complaints (other than installation)?

I have been noticing GT500 pedals on GT's at my dealer. Is this a factory option now?

Any other brands that are really good and provide good grip for winter?

The GT500 pedal covers at the dealer and from CDC are the same pedal covers. You can get them on ebay for about 1/2 the price though from the original manufacturer.

Keep an eye on this vendor on E Bay....He doesn't have any listed at the moment, but I, and a few others I know, have picked up the GT500 pedals for 36 bucks plus shipping....(7 bucks). Unbeatable deal.....
