I'm looking at an 06 GT mustang without the IUP package, but I remember reading that some of the later 05s were missing the wiring connector for the button on the dash. Is this true for the 06? If so, I'd guess this wouldn't be a viable option and I should pass on the car. I'd have to add the dash panels and the instrument cluster if I bought the car, so that might push me to an 07 for the same or even less money.

Thanks, I remember the old links, but if the connector for the switch behinld the dash isn't guaranteed to be there anymore, then I guess I should just order an 07 and avoid the hassle.

Its not worth the hassle... to change the passenger side properly, I believe the passenger airbag module needs to be changed.

If you can't find an '06 with IUP, order one. The dealer I got my car from orders every single one with IUP.

 

The IUP is the only thing i regret not getting in the 06. I didn't know that it told you the avg MPG. I thought it was just the mycolor. Now what I'm probably going to do is just get the leather steering wheel and the IUP shift ****. OH WELL
