I hear we have a 1in tweet, 4in mid, and 8in woofer in the door (shaker systems). I was wondering if anyone has been able to fit a 5.25 in there with a tweet? I have a 3 way set with a 5.25, 6.5, and .75 tweet. I'd love to be able to use this in the doors.

I am installing an Infinity KAPPA 50.7CS 5.25" /w 1" Tweeter component system, hopefully this weekend.
I purchased the METRA 82-5601 5x7 adapter plate thats is supposed to accommodate them. In my thread a couple threads down HERE, a guy said he did the same with success. I don't know about a 3-way though as there would be no room for the 3rd piece not to mention the 8" Door subs are powered by amps and have separate wires to them.
I will take pictures and post a write-up of my install.

thanks for the reply, i will check out that plate. I was going to remove the 8in sub and place the 6.5in there, then the 5.25 and tweet up high. I have the mbquart system with add on woofer, so if i can mount the x-overs in the door or close to it, wiring shouldnt be an issue.


Please please please let me know how your install goes, as i will also be attempting it this weekend or ealy next week (car in the body shop till saturday)
