Thumbs up

i'm just wondering if the Shaker 500 head unit has the pinouts ready to attach a subwoofer, and enough power to drive it, or i'll be needing to do messy wiring work and find place to install an amplifier to drive an add-on 10/12" sub in the trunk..

any comments would be appreciated

I'm not sure about the 05 Stang, but I put 2 10 inch subs in my Limited Explorer and they worked pretty good. Just used the wires from the 8 inch sub that was in the truck. There is enough bass without it being annoying. Should work ok with the Shaker 500.

so you used the wires from the 8" subs to sorta daisy-chain another subwoofer?
not sure that'd be a good idea, if it works in the first place with the shaker.

I added 2 eight inch subs and had to use an amp. I had a stereo shop do it for me. I don't think you can add another sub w/out an amp.

Just my 2 cents.

Why not just add the amp and get the full potential?

Is there a remote power lead that can be used for a power antenna or an amplifier for the subwoofer?
