Can I add a sub to Shaker 500?
I want to know if I can add an aftermarket sub and amp to and shaker 500?
1. Is there a pre-amp out before the factory amps?
2. Where is factory amp?
3. If no pre-amp out can I tap off rear speakers to dedicated amp?

There isnt a factory out so, You can use the factory stereo by using this product. You can tap into the rear 6x8 to give the unit power. You also going to tap in to the power line in the factory harness. I believe it's the orange and grey wire. Dont qoute me on this and im sure someone else can help you out. Factory amps are on the doors and they use 5V just FYI. Hope this helps out a little.

Nope
The amps for the front door subs are in the driver side kick panel, there's two of them, one for each sub, the shaker 1000 trunk subwoofer has an additional amp, in the trunk
yes you could tap off the rear speakers with a high-low crossover converter but the result will be crap.
do it the right way and tap into the pre-amp lines before the front amplifiers
you'll need an LOCB.2 from Soundgate (around $99USD) and this will give you clean preamp RCA outputs that can be plugged directly into any aftermarket amplifer

Yes you can. The custom sounds near me, has done a ton of them already. Leave the wiring up to the pros unless you really want to do the sub, amp, wiring, box all that stuff, and take risks at hooking up wrong wires etc. But I asked them, and they had already done a bunch, so yes definitely doable. I used to do stereo installs a lot, but unless you just cant afford to pay to have it done or your really into doing it all yourself, then I would just leave it up to the pros. good luck.
