Is the Bullitt shifter a direct replacement for the stock shifter?

Just saw this set...

Would it just be a direct replacement for the stock shifter? Looks like it fits all 05-09 Mustangs?

The parts in your link are only cosmetic and do not include the actual shifter...

Includes:
-Shifter Boot (Leather)
-Shifter Bezel (Plastic with satin aluminum look)
-Shifter **** (Solid aluminum)

IIRC, the shifter is the same as a normal GT.

hate to break any hearts, ive cut one of those factory bullitt uip boots apart and they are not real leather either, as with the dash and the shelby armrest lid. that should be against the law to say it is. they have the vinyls down to a exact match looks wise and they do look good.

I guess I should have phrased it differently, my fault. I know the shifter is the same, I just meant does that kit fit onto any standard 05-09 GT?

The Bullitt shifter was improved over the GT. Excellent action IMO. Only available on Bullitt for 08/09.
Not sure if the 10 GT got it but it may have as some of the Bullitt upgrades were passed on to the 10 GT for the final year of the 4.6L3V.

EDIT: Yes the 10 got Bullitt's improved shifter.

excerpts:

For the ’10 base GT:

Improvements inspired by the Bullitt program, for
instance, are seen on the genuine polished-aluminum manual transmission **** and leather-wrapped shift ****, which support a short-throw, performance-based
shifter originally launched on the feature car [Bullitt]. Paul Randle, Chief Engineer

Looks like you could save about $ 100 here.

I can definitively say 'yes', there is a difference in the shifter from my prior '07 GT (built in Aug '06) and my '10 GT. Much better and precise...I have occasionally felt the torque of the engine move the shifter a bit, causing what feels like imprecise engagement, but it is definitely improved.

As I posted in the linked thread below, they switched all the GT shifters to newer Bullitt design during the '07 model (maybe later builds??)... which was why I posted there was no difference. Mine was built in March of '07 and came the beefer/Bullitt design.

https://themustangsource.com/f669/15...pgrade-487235/

The bottom shifter is the Bullitt design.

To the OP... keep in mind the Bullitt shift ball is metal and can get very hot in the summer. Also, this rather pricey boot set-up is not leather and trim ring is plastic. I have one in my parts stash and might be willing to part with it.
