Although I don't have that specific model, I do have the Motorola Bluetooth Car Kit Model S4692. I love it! Have not had ANY problems in the two years I have had them in two of my cars. Reading the info on the IMF1000 makes me want one!! Mine is limited to just ONE bluetooth device at a time. This new one can have FOUR !!! devices paired. WOOHOO!!! I say go for it. Motorola quality is top notch in my opinion.

I ended up going with a product called Parrot. It is amazing and has a screen that comes with it that acts as a caller ID and can show you your phonebook, and calls dialed and received. It's really a cool deal. Great for anyone with a Manual transmission.

well how does the parrot work, I have heard about it before but got conflicting reports, worked good, didnt work good. does this work like the factory bluetooth kit. Do you hear all your calls thru the factory speakers etc. microphone on your visor or center interior light location. Any info what you paid, how much to install, where you got it, which model, and what bluetooth phone are you using, any info on it thanks. I had the factory one in my 05 it was about 400 bucks. it was awesome. I hadnt dropped the ball on the 06 yet. thanks again.

I'm really impressed with it so far. I bought the kit from US cellular my wireless company for $275 and install was $135. I'll get some pics for you guys. It is a nice clean look. I had them put it right between my center two are vents. There is a small amount of cable showing but if i had mounted it lower there would be none. The microphone is mounted up by my visor and seems to work well. However, I turned the volume on the microphone up and got complaints on the sound quality, but when I put it back to medium it works like a champ. I haven't worked with it a lot yet but definitely want to get the voice dialing figured out. It does come through the speakers and since I have a system wired into the back two speakers it just mutes my front two when someone calls. I'm using my new Razor with it and it's great.

Well When the dealer installed mine, it didnt look too much different than the one you want to use. They installed it so that it was on the right side of steering wheel sort of above where your right knee is and left of the stereo. They ran it there because they could bring the wire right out on the side there next to radio, so you couldnt really see the wire since it was tucked away nicely, and the microphone was attached to the center interior lighting area, wires again all hidden nicely. Looked very nice. You should have enough space to put it in that same spot unless that is huge, but it looks a little bigger but not much, where did you get that one, how much etc. What kind is it and what phone are you going to use with it. I am using a SLVR now.

I havnt ordered it yet, I want to see some mounting options etc but it was actually from www.mossmustang.com. I will be using it with my Motorola MPX220 and a cingular 8125. I just want a nice clean install. I really like things to look factory or as close to as possible and I dont mind cutting or dilling to get it that way. I will look at that piece when I go out next time and see what kind of room is available there.

I might I'll have to check tommorrow on the computer and look threw a few folders too see if I have an old shot of it. I dont think so But I could be wrong. It is the first flat area above your right knee but closest to the radio side, they installed right at the right angle where the wire would come out of the radio area. If I find one I will post it.

Here is a link I found for 199.00, not sure which model all of these I found are etc. Will have to do some calling etc to make sure its the right one for the car.

http://www.aboutsecurityconcepts.com...ductCode=BT700

199.00 not too bad compared to the factory which was twice as much let me know what you come up with. thanks

The picture from Moss has two different units in it. The one in the foreground has nice rounded sides that look like they would contour nicely in to the dash. Then if you look at the small parts picture in the backgroud the display is a bulky looking rectangle. Same one that is on the security concepts link. The "unavailable" one looks nicer in my opinion ( go figure... )

Mine isn't exactly factory looking, but I think it looks good. I put it right between the middle two air vents. I had it mounted in the center and you can see a little bit of the wire, however if I would have had them put it a little lower then you more than likely wouldn't see any wire. I'll try and find some time to take some pics this week.
