There is a bit of looseness on the rear seat bottom knee bolsters. I supposed they may have slightly increased the thickness of the foam on that area of the lower seat foam. It can be fixed with extra foam placed under it but I have not bothered with it yet. That would be a simple fix. It really does not show as loose fitting but when you press down on the area it is a tad loose. Everything else has a perfect fitment.

This was quite an undertaking. I did this mod - but for the life of me, I cannot clip the last clip (ones at the rear of the seat). The one long one at the foot of the rear of the driver and passenger seats, that connect the backrest to the seat bottoms. Any advice?

Thanks.

I am a little confused what you are referring to. On each side of the lower backrest cover, there are stretchy tabs that connects with velcro to the back of the lower seat bottom. On the seat bottom itself, the lower back edge snaps onto the underside edge of the lower seat frame. On the backrest itself, the lower front horizontal tab of the backrest cover pulls through at the bottom of the seat back to snap into a long horizontal plastic tab on the lower back of the seat cover.

The lower backrest tab does not secure to the back underside edge of the seat bottom. It only secures to the lower front of the seat back cover.

If you are having trouble securing the long horizontal tab to the seat frame, loosen the front first then fasten the back, then go back and secure the front again.

I hope this helps. Just remember the seat back cover only secures to the seatback and the seat bottom cover only secures to the seat bottom.

Do you have a picture of the variation here? I'm close to pulling the trigger on this one.

I just caught this reply, so let me take a picture tomorrow or the next day. Trust me it's worth pulling the trigger on. I could not be happier! You can always do something to mask the variation. I leave my headrest down anyway so it doesn't bother me.

Here is the pic... like I said it's not much to worry about. The headreats are down all the time anyway. I suppose could go in later and mask it with the soft side of black velcro.

Gotta revive an old thread!
I got a set of free used leather seat covers from a Mustang without side airbags and realized I have side air bags on my wifes 2009 coupe.
Has anybody knows how the cover on side airbags seats rip open to deply the airbag?
Thinking of modifying the non airbag seat covers to allow deployment of the airbags.
Any help would be appreciated.
A pic of the inside of the airbag seat covers would be the ticket!!!

I sure wish I would have seen this post before I took on my reupholstering project (which was just posted earlier today in this forum). The zip ties look lime it was WAY easier than dealing with the hog clips! Oh well, I spent all weekend on mine (not really sure how many hours) all I know is my hands hurt after all the hog ring cutting and clamping.
