Another XM Rig
Here's another version of hooking up the XM Roady 2 to the Stang. I basically used some styrofoam and carved a round insert to fit into the cup holder, then a flat piece that I carved to fit the Roady 2 (both attached together). All were covered with Felt to make it fit snug in the cup holder and hold the Roady firm. The antenna was placed on the drivers side dash and I'm getting a good signal. That was my attempt to find something non-permanent.
After all these years,
My C/T still sucks!

Thats another reason I cant commit to XM in there........That one sits where my cocola permanently sits. My xm is still boxed up in my trunk undecided as to what's going to happen to it.

Just a quick note to all XMers (and Sirius users as well). You do not have to mount your antenna outside the car, I have mine hidden under the left rear seat/package tray and it works just fine. (I have a twin lead magnetic ground plane antenna, single lead antennas will work just as well!)
Appreciate the comments and I'm open to any other ways somebody has put theirs in the stang. The thing I realized with the XM radio, is that I'm always changing the stations, so it needs to be accessible without having to look around and drive off the road.
XM is very cool, but the ability to play MP3's gives us the ability to listen to all "our" songs, so I'm still tossed on the whole thing -- time will tell.
