Ambient lighting?

If you would offer a plexi insert for the cup holder and then the lights as a second Item I would be interested. It would require you to cut the cup holder but it would look almost factory.

Ok, so obviously it sounds like color choice is all over the map, so the kits would for the most part need to be assembled on an "as ordered" basis...
That said, I've been playing with LED setups the past few nights in the car, and it looks like a 5 LED unit will work well in the footwell areas, the overhead, but that a 3 light will work well in the cup holder. It also looks like there needs to be a "light" kit and a "full" kit, depending upon how much lighting someone wants to have.

Take a look at these. I am going to run over to this place this week, hopefully, and see how these look...

Doesn't sound the same to me. The stock cupholder lighting consists of several LEDs surrounding the cupholder to create a ring of light. Also, the four LEDs in the footwell areas are round and not "light bars."

The light switch is round (not square like in the 2008 pix) and there is no white "band" around the cupholder to light up, only ONE small LED that you drill a hole for.
I am thinking that this is a cheap "imitation" of the actual ambient lighting found on new cars.

Ehh, 270.00 is not cheap by any stretch... no matter if it is a knock off or not.
Heck, I was trying figure out how to price a kit in the 75-150.00 range and thought that it might be too much... maybe I need to rethink this whole thing!! For 270 we can probably make it light up places where the "sun don't shine!"

By cheap I meant a total waste of money! A pale imitation!
By all means, I am eagerly awaiting the SHR version... and the SHR grille inserts... Fiberoptic climate control dials... Arrrrghhh...

LOL - still here... whatever time it is.
Do you have any idea how bored one can get when hand-assembling 900 A/C *****? The fiber-optics don't exactly cooperate at this diameter, so it is an interesting little assembly line we have going on here to do this!!
Understood on the comment now - we'll see what our LED supply guy comes back to us with for secondary options, and me being at SEMA will probably help open a few horizons as well to some pieces that might make for a better complete product.
