The supposedly indestructible Ford all-weather mats I ordered with the GT has developed a hole on the driver's mat. I am not quite sure how the hole was formed, but it is in-between the clutch and brake pedal area. The mat material under my right heel is wearing thin as well.

The Weathertech mats are way expensive, but I seem to wear through floor mats with the greatest of ease.

 

Yeah, they suck. I did the same with mine, as did my wife with the ones for the Mercury Milan. To be honest, the only real answer is to bite the bullet and get the Weathertech floor-liners. They're great, and completely indestructible. They are expensive, though. I bought the fronts first, and then bought the backs later on.

 

I have to agree. Although I cheaped out and opted for inexpensive rubber mats with the Crown Vic and Cobalt SS/TC and they're holding up fine. I drove the GT for about 4 seasons total (under 10k) and it has worn out. Meanwhile, the rubber Wal-Mart mats in the Crown Vic have survived nearly 7 full years of constant wear and tear.

 

MY FORD ones gave out after two years....
