After 2 Years Finally Got Tint~

I have had my car for just about 2 years and finally decided to get the windows tinted. I went with 50% on the sides and 30% on the rear. Another shameless photo opt for my car!

Looking good. You should be ok with that as long as your driving right. I went even lighter than that. I went with the lightest available tint up front and then the next shade darker for the rear side and back window.

Mine's 5% all around. I haven't had a word said to me about it yet, but I'm also a night shifter. Everything is dark for me

i was thinking 20% all around but i am starting to consider 30% all around, i want to be able to look out the back window at night but still be able to use my rear defrost and have protection

After seeing Rich's car in person, I think personally I'd go with 50% all around or even a shade lighter. The third brake light is hard to see at 30%. (Note: He is running the CDC relocated 3rd light) I am thinking having the same tint in all the windows might throw off the cops?!?

Looking very sharp, Rich! Are you sorry you didn't do it sooner? (I still haven't done it.)

Looks great, Rich!

Glad you got rid of the 'fishbowl effect'.

Hope you or your tint guy installed the Moleskin..

Since my car isn't a daily driver I'm not sorry that I waited. In California it's illegal to tint the driver and passenger side windows, that's why I went with 50% for them and the quarter windows. It the same so maybe it will throw the cops off alittle. Kind of wish I had gone with 20% on the rear but I can live with this.

Yes Bill, I got the moleskin.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I appreciate it~

Rich you should be ok as long as you are not driving like a nimrod. And the most likley popo to mess with you would be the CHP.

I think it was $225 for all five with the moleskin. Not sure what the price would have been for just the rear~

I'm glad you posted pics, as your car is set up almost exactly how I'd like to do mine, and the color is similar (I've got a Tungsten 07). Are your stripes vinyl or painted? Gloss, right?

Looks great!

I like it! I think I am going with 50% all around. I like being able to see the red interior from outside. I'm am not a huge fan of tint in general(most of my older cars were insanely dark tint) due to scuffs, but if I only have to clean the inside of the rear window once every 4 washes it'll be worth it
