Tilting headrest kit!

Blackhat found where MRT http://www.mrt-direct.com/2005/Pages/intpackage.php was selling those retro seat covers from Classic Automotive Interiors http://www.mustangupholstery.com/ and they have an adjustable headrest kit listed for $200.

Tried to order the adjustable headrests at MRT, but they don't seem to be able to tell me anything about them. Even after 2 weeks.

$200 just to have an adjustable headrest?! Too much just for that IMHO.

No, it's $200 to keep my wife quiet about how the head rest hits on her head funny and she has to sit with her head forward and it makes her neck hurt. It's a bargin in my opinion.

Careful guys...
Adjustable headrests may only mean up and down, just like we already have.
What I want is a pivoting headrest to fix the forward angle.
(P.S. My short wife thinks the seats are perfect.)

Actually I just checked their website again and it says, "optional tilting headrest kit".

Has to be tilting since all '05+ Mustangs come with headreats that move up and down.

I emailed TMI directly yesterday. They emailed me back this morning, and I talked to them a few minutes ago. It is amazing that after a month and 3 phone calls to MRT, that they couldn't come up with anything.

They do work on the factory seats and come in all the factory colors and fabrics.

I asked for a dealer where I could get them, since MRT didn't seem to want the business. They refered me to Laurel Mountain Mustangs. I placed the order with them for the headrest kits and a padded console cover. They knew what I was talking about and had no problem taking the order.

I'll have a full report and pictures when I get them in.

LMM really didn't know much about it. I found out about it from TMI. Here is wat TMI wrote:

The tilting headrest does work on factory seats. The materials (Red, Tan, Grey, Black) do match exactly with the factory material because we have sourced the same supplier as Ford uses. We also have matching material for all exterior colors of vehicles for the top boots, seat covers, console lids, shift boots, and or door trim. If you have any more questions feel free to write or call. Thanks for your interest and I hope I have answered all questions. Thanks again Dane

LMM did also call TMI about the shipping while I was on the line and was able to get the information they needed. Why couldn't MRT do that?

I look foward to seeing how it goes mustangjack, I see someone finally helped you out with your question. From the way you were treated in the last thread, http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...t=34875&page=3, I gave up on them from their answer of which red. I guess your wife must really hate the headrests since you kept on them after getting an answer like that. All I have to say is good luck.

So when do you expect the covers and the head rest kit to arrive?
