I want to connect my backup camera in the trunk to a 12v accessory wire (on with key). Just wondering if anyone knows of one already in the trunk area somewhere? If not, I'll just run a new wire. Don't want to have to take my center console out again since I scratched my emergency brake lever a bit this last time on the stereo install. Thanks!

Forgot to mention I had the base stereo, no amps or speakers in the trunk yet. Just installed only a Pioneer AVIC-D1 and replaced the front/rear coaxials.

Not on with key but if you could tap into the trunk light before it runs to the pressure switches that would work as long as you don't draw too much juice.

The computer also turns off the trunk light after awhile if left open to prevent killing the battery after engine is turned off thus preventing the camera from killing the battery.

Thanks Steve, that's a good idea. I'll give it a shot this weekend and see how it works out.

Just pull out your rear seat (release the lever, one on each side in the front) and check the wire bundles routed down the passenger side frame of the rear. I used a 12v test light to find the reverse wire for my AVIC-D1 installation there; there's probably a switched wire back there as well.
