This look may not be for everyone, but here's a black chrome Razo RA25A shift **** on my 05 GT. It weighs 340 grams (12 oz) and really enhances the feel of the stock shifter. I felt like I was shifting a piece of wood with the stock ****. Razo ***** come with plastic inserts including a 12mm which fits our cars. Screwing it down completely requires a little elbow grease, but the result is a very tight fit. I solved the drooping boot problem by buying a rubber stopper from Home Depot, the same size as the opening in the boot. I drilled a hole through it, popped off the boot from the console, and slid the stopper up the inside of the boot. I guided the boot over the shift handle and pushed the stopper down past the threads before screwing on the ****. The rubber stopper keeps the boot right up against the **** or lower if desired. As I said, this look may not be for everyone, I may still put on a Hurst or B&M, but for $30 - $40 it's an inexpensive option. Razo has a huge catalog of high quality shift *****, and most should fit our cars.

I like the way it buts up so close to the boot. Gives it a "stubby" look.

I did a similar thing with the MRT **** - used a big flat washer to wrap the boot around:
