And Yet another... Shelby Gt500 conversion!
After all that work and finally seeing it come together your selling your baby.
Ok tell us the truth the x-charger blew the engine and now its gonna cost you to much to repair it and your cutting your losses. Or your not happy with the whole V6 w/ x-charger performance and you want a V8. Or the wife wants you to sell the sports car (stop being such a kid) and buy a family mini van.
Or you are suffering a moment of temporary insanity and need to take your medication.

Say it is'nt so.....
Your Shelby Conversion is one of the best.

....Just moving on to what ever my next challange may be! LOL.....
Have any thoughts on this yet? If not, here's an idea: Take a factory 190-hp rated car and make it into a GT500 beater.... oh wait, I've already done this!
Seriously Dave, you haven't had time to enjoy everything you've done. Can you tell us why you've had such a change of heart so suddenly?

Willie, your car looks sick! Great Job man!
Ohhh, and trading up for a GT, No Way, the X-Charger is just ridiculous power! More than enough to satisfy my needs, Doug's tune along with the X really turned this thing into a whole new ride!
was at it all day Saturday.... Sorry about the bad pic, it was dark when i finished. Everything less the rear bumper cover (backorder
) goes off for paint and stripes(painted) TOMORROW!
I removed the rear decklid, and spoiler and pony gas cap..... WAPITA!
so he can paint and stripe the deck as well...... I'll just have to bring the car in for the roof after the parts are installed. Got the new headlamps installed as well as the crash pad. Today, i'll work on extending the fog harnesses and adding the correct plugs for the fogs.
This is actually quite an easy job, i have to say THANKS! to Jess (L28iwon) for his thread and PM's with his tips! The pix on his thread pretty much explain it all! Very easy to do! Hat's off JESS!
Well, i'll post up in a few more days with some FINALLY pics.....

Am in the process of performing my Shelby Conversion next week.
....maybe it's just the winter blues about to set in, can't even play with it now! It's lived in the garage all this time and now it's there to stay for another 5 to 6 months!
.... Willie, your car looks sick! Great Job man!
Dave, maybe you need to consider moving to the great southwest!! I'm just now starting to enjoy my cars, including my 1987 Z28 convertible, which sees less than 50 miles per year; all with the top down of course!!
and thanks on the compliment. I'm picking up my last part, the hood, this week!!
What did you use to extend the fog harnesses and adding the correct plugs for the fogs?
I bought all my parts from Kevin. He included this complete wiring harness of which you'll only need the two foglamp connectors!! It seems like such a waste... All I did was cut the existing lamp pigtails off and used the new connectors with about one foot of wiring. I used solder and heat shrink for the best connection!!
If you've got further questions on the conversion or if you run into any snags while doing it, feel free to call me. PM me your number and I'll call you with mine... Nothing is worse than to be stuck because of not understanding ONE thing. This kind of happened on the rear bumper for me because I did not find any kind of write-up on what to expect. I found more rivets than expected on a wiring "stiffener" brace that needs to be transferred to the new bumper cover. I also found the lower center retainer "brace" needs some sort of angle bracket -- it's too short and 90 degrees off..... I ended up fabbing a bracket.

It's like they say, you pay to play.... Mod'ing is expensive and adds NO value but it makes you feel good. Sell the car and get what you can and count the loss as the price it cost to have a nice car that was differant for a while.
Glad to didn't get screwed too bad
