Will Cobra R emblems cover fender holes?

Anyone know if these emblems will cover the guide holes in the fender where the GT emblems are?

I was afraid of this.

That's not a 'Cobra R' emblem even though they advertise it as such. I've never seen that emblem on any of the three Cobra R's ever made. It's more Nissan GT-R than Mustang.

I cannot answer if it will cover the two fender holes, perhaps someone else can.

looks like the holes will be covered by that emblem.

but yeah, like 2k7gts said, that is the "R" in the nissan GT-R's emblem. i would imagine import car guys would laugh if they saw it on your car. of course if stuff like that doesn't bug you, then go for it. not sure why vendors have been marketing that as a mustang emblem.

Holes in the fender? Yes.

Holes in credibility, coolness, stuff like that? No.

Don't do it. Pick something else. Scarfing the Nissan GTR emblem is just wrong. IMO, of course, it's your ego, your car, have fun regardless of what we say. Just don't be surprised when you get picked on for it.

re: why they market it.

Because of this:

There were 7 actual 'Cobra R' emblems on the car that I can count so far, lookin' for them. One on each wheel, one on the front seat each, and one on the intake.

If they made THAT as an emblem, well, that would be cool. If falsely advertising, but hey, like that's not been done before.

I'm not a big fan of the import emblems, just trying to find something that's different besides the tri-bar, powered by Ford, snake, etc.

I saw somebody put a fender emblem on from like a '68 GT or something recently that looked cool. It was in a 'custom 2005-2009 GT fender emblem' thread or something. If I can find it I'll post it.

And Houtex that's good counting! I believe you are correct. I can't think of another R with snake emblem on the 2000R.

i think the only place on the car where the R coiled around the cobra was present was in the seats, on top the of engine, and on the center caps of the wheels. of course Gary can correct me

I would say something about "I said that, I think" but the point isn't really that much of an issue...

I guess I'm going to to with the tri-bar. The better half really likes them and I can live with them, at least they'll give some color to a black car.
