I am trying to find some urethane amber/yellow foglamp overlays. I recall someone on eBay used to sell them but the account disappeared or my notes were wrong.

The threads about cops giving tickets from confusing the GT foglamps with "high beams" or "driving lamps" got me thinking. I usually drive my Crown Vic in the winter and had the opportunity to drive in front of another GT on the highway, and saw a GT in the opposite lane at night. In both instances, the GTs had their foglamps on and never once did it bother my eyes. The SUVs and pickup trucks are the biggest PITA's on the road because their normal headlamps are at the same level as my head, and their foglamps just glare like no tomorrow. I had the misfortune of trying to pass a Cadillac Escalade with HID headlamps. I peered into the mirror to see if I could pass and was totally blinded by a white flash of light.

Anyhow, I figure if I slap on an amber overlay on the foglamps, the yellow light would improve the performance of the foglamps and not allow anyone to confuse them for driving/head lamps. The amber would also be FMVSS compliant as white and amber are the only 2 colored lights authorized on the front end of the vehicle.

well, these are vinyl and not urethane, but this is where i got mine from. just a note: after i put mine on, there was definate haziness under the film. that eventually went away and it is fine now.

I got covers for all front lights in one kit from STICKERCITY.COM --- link below takes you right to S197 listing. I ordered clear for the headlights and front turn signals just for protection against chips and yellow for the fog lights for protection and a little different look. They have been on since early 2006 and still look great!

I have 40-mil clear on everything in the front, but was looking for just fog lamp covers.
